Oh sorry. Shrug! I made a mistake. I live in zone 5b, however, and the minimum cold hardiness listed for this plant is 6b. Has it adapted to grow here due to its fruit's hibernation capabilities? Confused

I have been growing Datura innoxia for years. Some years it comes back from roots, sometimes not. I always spread a few seeds in the fall. This year I had 2 come back from roots, none from seed. I am in 6a-6b

Mine always come back from both roots and the huge seeds. It's almost becoming invasive here, but our drought has slowed it down. It doesn't grow as well without water.
