I used to grow them in the winter under fluorescents in the basement where avg winter temp is around 60°.
Nothing that's been done can ever be changed.

Odyssey Bulbs used to have an extensive list of cultivars.

That will be my next bulb next season..this year have tried clivia and freesia.. Big Grin I like bulbs of South African origin, they thrive better here.

Tarev, how big is that pot? I just picked one up at the market in a 4" pot, but reading up on it, tells me to put it in a larger pot to give it room to spread. It also says it prefers 60 to 65 deg. temps. That's going to be tough to maintain. I don't keep my house that cool.

It's a 5 inch glazed pot with drainage holes, been in that pot since 2012 and changed the soil in 2013, other than that, just grown simple like that outdoors. Our area gets quite cool so it comes back nicely during Spring, then sleeps during summer. This year has been really dry so it fared quite well outdoors.
