Susan, the Calla Lily bloom for quite awhile depending on the variety.
This one bloomed into October. You can stagger your planting time for longer bloom season. I have some of the light yellow ones that I can share.

This one is truly a four season plant. The foliage is in full gear right now. This one stays in the ground all year unlike the Calla. The Calla can stay in the ground in your Z:8. Aurum Italicum. Flower pic first. Short flowering season, so don't blink or you will miss it. After it flowers it put out this seed looking head and it is variegated to boot.

Very nice! I love your avatar also, that bee balm is a nice red and shows off the big yellow daylily. What is the name of the daylily?
I did get several varieties from the co-op including Aurum Italicum. I was actually attracted to the speckled foliage.

The daylily is "Look Here Mary", registered as a 11" flower. Planning on putting some Bee Balm in front of my yellow long blooming rose this spring. I will also have the yellow reblooming bearded iris on the right and Sandra Elizabeth or LHM on the left. The rose is slightly elevated due to the slope. LHM bloomed with the Bee Balm the first year. Last year the BB was done before LHM started to bloom. The BB would be better paired with a early blooming yellow daylily with a big flower.

Wow, that is nice! What is the name of your long blooming roses? I had several of the knockout series and they are one of the few that do not get black spot real bad. Plus they need no pruning and they are prolific bloomers.
Ok, I will look to see if I have a early blooming yellow with a big flower.~'Look Here Mary', is beautiful! And it is an extended rebloomer too! Great choice! Hurray!
