Question: I looked thru their list, are there any really good deals?

Are there any collectables?

Prices look good to me, Frank! I think you'd have to be nitpicking to find a cheaper place to buy these on sale like that.

I'm not sure about collectible. I guess it depends on what you are collecting. Nosferatu is a Curt Hanson introduction. I think a lot of people like to collect Curt's plants, so this would be a good time to get this one, maybe.

Lavender Blue Baby was used as a parent on seeds I bought on the LA, and the kids look awesome.
If you are looking at blue eyes, it seems to be a good one to have. I just checked, 313 child plants. (yikes! that's crazy!)

If you mean historically collectible, Rocket City is an intro by Hardy (what is his first name?) from 1967, which makes it a really old Tet. It's known parent is Crestwood Gold, which is an intro from Fay-Griesbach from 1963. I think all three of those names are Tet pioneers. If you are into historical daylilies, RC might be pretty cool to own.

@Lyshack

thanks for the info, I have Rocket City. I have had it so long that I do not have a record of when I bought it. Now, I feel much better about having it:)

I'd like to know if these are Tissue Culture. Some differences can be found they say from regular daylilies that are the result of division and those that are started off as Tissue Culture. I've heard that many of the "bulb" companies sell TC daylilies. One also has to wonder about the size of the daylily. Since it's the end of the season they may be a better size then if they were small spring sprigs, but I would like that information too..............There are some really nice daylilies in the mix. South Seas is a wonderful one for old or new collectors. I've seen others pictures of Mighty Chestnut and it always looks interesting. It's on my long list. Green Mystique is another classic daylily that is still very desirable. It was one of my first "fancy" daylilies.....Good Luck. Let us know if you get anything how they look to you........Maryl

I've ordered from BSP and not been happy with the size of the fans... very small. This was about 4 yrs ago.
