Beautiful 'Montana' Paul, What is sprouting with the ten eyes? Are they both the same plant?

June is the same way, you can have four, one on each side of house and each will be different and beautiful in its own way. Have you ever saw a yellow 'June' mine was getting a lot of sun before the birch tree filled out.

I have a rabbit that loved my 'Liberty'! It got damaged last year by a late freeze and now this year it's been eaten by a rabbit! I planted another one in the bed that is fenced, so maybe next year I'll have a nice one to look at,

It was new last year and was planted late (in July) so I am not sure.

Thanks for the comment. I do not have many Hostas, as my yard is mostly sun, but they sure are pretty. Good thing I like Daylilies too. Smiling

Me too, I am learning ways to create more shade because I love Hostas. I like daylilies, Irises, daffodils and I am starting a butterfly garden. The project is slowly coming along, I hope I can finish before it gets too hot. Whistling

When I moved and repotted them in this container last year, I did not consider how big they really grow, am a newbie with them then... Big Grin I just wanted to put them in the shadiest part of the yard without toasting in our triple digit heat.

But one of them is definitely sprouting..pips coming about..I would like to think it is the Wide Brim one..it was the biggest of the three last summer and easily dwarfed the others then.

I'm very new at growing hostas but the 4 I got last year, Sagae, Whirlwind, Blue Cadet and August Lily are now all up. Hurray! I had them in pots, sunk into the ground over the winter, until March and then transplanted them into the ground and am happy to see I didn't kill them.

I'll post pics once the weather clears up. Raining here today which we need.

You have inspired me to take pix of my hosta. Although I don't have most of the names it is still a good visual library for when I'm thinking about adding another I can compare.

I think I have 'signs' of life on all my hostas up here in Wisc. I finally pulled the garden tag on Thunderbolt **sigh** it disappeared last year.

Thought my Aardvark was toast, but i do believe it's come back to life.

Hope to get some photos this week.
