Great banner! The image is so clear and wonderful. Lovely background to boot! Plus crocosmia is a favorite here too. (I just wish mine would really take off...looks like yours is doing very well!) I tip my hat to you. Hurray! I tip my hat to you.

Marilyn, the banner is so perfectly fit, as if you had the siding/fencing put in to fit the backdrop, and the red crocosmia shows off ideally. Love it. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Its easy for me to believe in miracles when science can't explain why a blade of grass has its shape and that is just one plant and one attribute.

This banner is so pretty and unique that it keeps drawing me in for a closer look. Is the background a fence or house siding? It sure works well for a background!

I love my Crocosmia, but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. I have just been out in my garden pulling up Crocosmia (I would assume lucifer) and Blackberry lily (formerly Belamcanda chinensis, now Iris domestica). I hate to throw them away. I'll be happy to mail a whole bunch of both or either to anyone who wants. @GaNinFl, @Whitebeard, anyone want some? Please?

I didn't realize till that I had a banner posted last night. Sorry I didn't respond sooner.

This is the pic that I made the banner with. Taken on July 2, 2006 at the back of our house. It is our house siding that is behind the Crocosmia. In this pic, you'll notice a Ruby Throated Hummingbird on the far left enjoying the nectar of the flowers. There's fennel in front of the hummer. There's daylily buds and flowers in the pic. I didn't realize that when I took the pic that a hummer was in the shot, so I was very happy to see it.

I had two clumps of Crocosmia 'Lucifer' in my yard years ago. One in the front flower bed and the other clump as you see in the pic/banner. I haven't had either one for years, but maybe in a year or two I can get at least one new clump growing and blooming for the hummingbirds.

It's too bad that Lucifer isn't listed as a container plant, because I'd like to grow in in a couple of containers.

Oops. As I compare the pic with the banner, I just realized that maybe it isn't the exact pic that I made the banner with. It's close to the shot, but I'll check my photo files from 2006 or so and see if I can find the exact pic.

I'm pretty sure this is the pic I made the banner with. This one was taken behind our house on June 30, 2006.

Here's another pic of the pic I posted earlier (with more details). Taken July 2, 2006.

Clumps of Crocosmia 'Lucifer' will definitely get the hummingbirds attention with the bright red color! I need to get more planted next year or the year after that!
