We have some really big weeks this year because of a mild winter. Is anyone else having problems? Is there any weed that is just driving you nuts?

Here is mine.

To the far left you can see my Blueberry bush and just a few flowers. Why do giant weeds pop up right next to something you really like. Blinking

I had some whoppers, too, but I've gotten them out. With such an early warm spring, I've gotten a good start. Now if I can just force myself to keep hoeing out the new ones while they're little... I love my circle hoe. I've got 2 of them, one long handle and one short handle.

The circle hoe is similar to a scuffle hoe but slightly different. It's blade is round and sharp. I have two sizes, and they're always with me when I'm working in the yard.

See pics and video here.

Hummmmm, I like the one with the long handle so you don't have to bend over. When you say two sizes do you mean to different size handles, or are you talking about the size of the circles?
I actually did see one at the feed and seed store today, but the circle was not round and it was a short handle. Where did you get yours?

I have a short- handled one and the long handled one. The circles are the same size, I think. Mine were Christmas presents purchased online.

If I'm going to do a lot of weeding, I use the long handled one. But whenever I work in the yard I carry a little tote containing my necessities- the short handled circle hoe, a trowel, plant markers and pen, gloves... you know, stuff I know I'll use a lot. Those things live in my basket all the time.

It worked. Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! The weed is dead and my little blueberry bush is safe. No harm done. Green Grin!

Hurray! Looks kinda large even when it's dead, doesn't it? Did you ever determine what kind of weed it is (was)?

No Green Grin! I'm not good at identifying weeds, to me there are only two kinds. The live ones and the dead ones. Hilarious!

Had to go hunt up my weed list. This is as good a place as any to post it.

Nice reference library, I did not see anything familiar to my weed-on-steroids. This is the only weed I have seen that is big enough to trip over. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing
