So excited to share with you these fellows I found happily munching on my milkweeds (which were actually volunteers in my zinnias). There are at least a dozen, maybe more, spread around my garden! I had noticed one monarch fluttering around recently and yesterday discovered these caterpillars.

Congratulations! They are not only beautiful, but entertaining and instructive. All their little habits have everything to do with their survival and thus have a purpose.

Congratulations! I just planted milkweed in mid July, for that exact reason. Can't wait until next year!
