Variegated Turk's Cap (Malvaviscus 'Variegata') There's no listing for a species candida in the CoL: http://www.catalogueoflife.org...

I wonder if it might be the variegated Turk's Cap (Malvaviscus arboreus var. drummondii 'Fiesta') ? I did some searching and found the following:

I really don't mean to cause additional work for our wonderful database administrators but just thought I should mention what I came across with this one in hopes that one of our plant gurus can figure it out.

Lin, I think you've probably done more work on this one than any of the "wonderful database administrators" would do. I'm not going to change it to any of the other cultivar names you found because two people added photos to this entry and must have had a good reason to do so. I will remove the invalid species name (candida) and just keep 'Variegata' as the name.
