Oh my, I was absolutely drooling at the Harrogate flower show looking at all the Dahlia and Chrysanthemum show blooms. These pampered plants are really something. These incurved varieties are stunning, making a perfect ball of petals. This is a very traditional and nostalgic form of gardening for me, my father and his mining colleagues in the north of England were all into allotments and growing these plus vegetables (show leeks being a specialty) so it's lovely that this sort of show is still going strong.
