We still have a few hours of summer left - it arrives in Ottawa just before 10 pm today. But here's the Autumn thread. May Autumn be good for everyone.

My guess is that the nausea is caused by a build up of too much medicine/vitamins/supplements in my system. I eat similar foods all of the time and I don't get sick every day.

We went for a walk on a pathway along the beach for almost two hours. It was all flat, but it was too hot to go hiking.

The SU made me get a flu shot yesterday. It was not worth the battle it would have taken to resist, and I would have lost in the end any way. Sticking tongue out

They are saying on TV that the flu season will be a bad one this year. Worse than last year. I heard the flu shots have 4 strains instead of the usual 3.

No way will I ever miss my flu shot! I have to pick up my prescription at the drug store tomorrow. I will get my flu shot then unless it's too busy. But a weekday is usually a good time.

Mine made me get one yesterday. He said it is to protect him.........since he already has bronchitis AGAIN! His reasoning is that I'm out and about with work, and around people that I will have a bigger chance of dragging something home and he will catch it. I suppose he's right, and I would have gotten one anyway, but he didn't need to be so pushy about it. I said this was one I wasn't going to win no matter how hard I dug in my heels so I just let it go and let the nice man stick my arm. And he didn't even give me a toy or piece of candy afterwards. DH got a flu shot last year, he got the flu anyway and I didn't, then shortly after that he got a cold and I didn't, so why mess with a good thing. Shrug!

Anna, really I think you should have gotten something for your pain and suffering. Rolling on the floor laughing

I got my flu shot this morning. I'm glad they didn't offer me candy as a reward because I know I lack the willpower to refuse. Hilarious! I also walked on the treadmill (slowly) for half an hour. I have to walk slowly to read my Kindle @ the same time. I did a 30 minute mile.

I've been avoiding the gym since I had my shoulder injected a couple of weeks ago. I'm doing the shoulder exercises @ home and gaining some range of motion. I fear I'd mess it up @ the gym.

I drugged myself with benadryl last night and got a good night's sleep.

I suppose we'll have to go get those new shingles shots............the pharmacist told me that you get a shot now, then another one in 6 months and "then you're set for life". Hmmm.......that's what we were told when we got the "other"shingles shot................."get this shot, you will never have to get another one.....blah, blah, blah..............".

When we got the shingles shot we were told that they were not sure how long it would last and that is was only 50 to 75% effective, so if they offer the newer one here we will get it for sure, I do not want shingles, that is really nasty.

I know! I got the old shingles shot, but haven't gotten the new one yet. Walgreen's didn't have it in stock today. The tech told me they have trouble getting enough of it at one time, so apparently the demand for it is high.

I don't remember if I mentioned it, but we got the shingles shots this year. We got one shot at CVS then they wouldn't have serum for the second shot until January, which was too late, so we got the second shot at the grocery store pharmacy. The pharmacist there said that they had plenty of serum. I called two CVS and both were out of serum. Our insurance says we're supposed to go to CVS but they still paid for the second shot. I'll get the flu shot more like the second half of October.

My feet still had sore spots from walking on all of that pavement on Saturday so today I rode my stationary bicycle for 45 minutes. That was more of a workout than my usual weekday walks.
