No kidding! I was looking through (well, mostly adding to) my 'want list' while scanning the Happy Moose Gardens intros. He has a bunch that I would love to grow but I simply can't this year. I promised myself I would only place 1 order...I'm already up to 3.

Another Phenomenal Phoenix poly today.

JW- Bobby Baxter has been on the LA (at least a month ago or so - haven't checked recently) as NCDaylililes and also, about mid to late summer last year, had a PHENOMENAL sale - I picked up a couple, although I don't think any I got were polys.

I currently have Moosa Pa Loosa and Old Termite from last fall. My In Celebration of Life died late this spring (too hot, then too cold) Then from the LA last month I got Courage and Determination and Proudly We Hail from NC Daylilies. Have been happy with all of them. (even the one that died since it was weather related)

So watch for the sale, because the prices I paid from the sale and even on the LA (noone bid against me) were great ~Jan

Oh, and I guess Moosa Pa Loosa is a poly, and that one is not on his website this year. Hasn't bloomed yet, but I just noticed a scape developing. On the other hand, my doubles don't double here, I hope I don't have the same issue with polys!!! ~Jan

Do poly's tend to have lower bud count? Everyone I want average 15.

Polys SO FAR have a lower average bud count than most DL. I think it's because the selection of plants with high percentages was small and they had small bud counts. Over time we'll get them higher. Especially with the tets I've been crossing to lots of high budded non-polys in an effort to bring better scapes to the table.

Here's a pent today melting in the heat. No clue what this is. There is a tag that says ? seedling, but I don't recall ever putting a seedling in this bed. Walked right by it this morning and never noticed it

I haven't the slightest idea why but I randomly had a load of polys today. One clump of Always afternoon had 3.5. The half is because one petal wasn't completely separated but it wanted to!
