I've looked everywhere for it from HD/Lowes (where they try to get me to buy a carabiner.) To Joanne/ Michael's in the purse-making section without luck. If I knew the name I probably can find one online. Any guesses??

Looks kind of like a shower curtain hook.

It's not really big enough to go over a shower curtain rod. The biggest loop is less than 1/2" diameter. You have to pinch the straight side really hard to open the hook.

Or try the hardware stores. Wal-Mart, the big box stores, Tractor Supply, the lumber yard also all usually have a collection. They should be with things like swivel hooks, snap hooks, S hooks - all those kinds of gizmos. I use them some. They keep the wind from blowing things off, but on some the springiness of the wire isn't enough to keep a squirrel from getting things off. Any bird feeder needs to have something a bit harder to deter those rascals.

We have hardware stores around here, if you have a hook and can take it to one they would likely carry them in stock.

try looking at the snaps on light weight dog leashes. I used lightweight leashes with some of my larger dogs, but always had the local leather shop replace the snap with a small regular sliding bolt type that would be stronger.

Tractor Supply has lots of bull hooks- no thats not a bull hook- but it will be in the same place and available in several different weights. Excuse me , the name has changed. A triggerbull snap. Tho that is heavier than what you are looking for. Maybe quikclip is what i mean
So many roads to take, choices to make, and laughs to share!

I found the one I had lost on the garage workbench! If you had ever seen my garage workbench, you'd understand how it got lost in the shuffle. LOL Still, always nice to know the name of these things so I can tell off the kid at HD/Lowe's. LOL (They are forever always telling me how to do things instead of helping me do what I want.)
