We've been having drizzly weather for several days.... temps hitting the mid 40's at night.. low 60's daytime..

Decided I didn't want to take a chance, so (with All their Leaves & still in pots) surprisingly not a single leaf drop? Only "Scott Pratt" shed leaves from its base up. Directed a small fan ..on low to keep the air circulating around them & help dry the soil.

Should I let Nature take it's course, or should I remove all the leaves ? They're still Green / Healthy looking.

in a quandry Confused

Glenn, while I have never had a Plumeria bloom for me yet, the day is coming!! I have about 20, all from seed, some are now over 1 1/2 feet tall. I bring them in through the Winter, under lights, and back outside when the warm weather comes. There is a fair chance I may see one or two blooms before I "slid into home plate" for the final time!!! Just my thoughts, but I would never knock any green leaves off a Plumeria, at any time. I am certain there are those, way better versed on this topic than me, but I strive to keep the leaves on the plant all year long. You may be suggesting that they go dormant, and you may well be right, I know my Bouganvilleas somewhat do, but not drop all their leaves. Ever had a bloom? Post a pic for an aspiring, older-than-dirt wannabe Plumeria grower up here in Canada.! Cheers!

Hi Frank; In all honesty, I've Never had a "home grown" bloom either.. just a small cluster from a rooted cutting w/inflo .

Am unable to use a light set-up & expecting my 11 plumerias to go dormant. This Summer I had phenomenal growth.. most are in the 3' + tall range now.

Unfortunately, I don't own a smart phone, so no camera.

ps. I'm an old geezer too. Sighing!

They don't want to go dormant ! After removing _ALL the leaves 2 weeks ago... the small growth tip leaves keep growing.. No water / No light.

Is this normal ? or do I have Zombie Plumerias !

In my area, the mid Texas Gulf Coast, we bring our Plumeria inside at our Master Gardener gardens, before the first freeze, the leaves always drop during this time of dormancy. We seldom loose any plants and put them back out in the early Spring. Having said this, I have my first Plumeria plants at my house and hope to keep the successful record going.

All mine are in prepared for the first freeze tonight. Some are bare-rooted. Others' leaves have been cut off and left in their pots. The youngest ones are in the heated greenhouse. I have lost branches over the winters but they all come bouncing back.

4 branches broke in the moving. Found homes for 3 cuttings already.
