There is a bumblebee on one of the coneflowers in the upper left of the photo.
I always leave the dried coneflowers (on the plant stems) for the Goldfinches and any other bird to eat and they do. It warms my heart to see them happily feeding. You could say that the dried cones are like little bird feeders.
Although I haven't been too successful at growing coneflowers, I keep trying because they are so lovely. Great banner, Marilyn.
