I was at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens on Oct 19 looking at the native plants that were for sale when this Gulf Fritillary came along and laid 3 eggs on this yellow passionflower vine. I had to buy it. I understand the plant is deciduous. I live near Stone Mountain in Georgia in zone 7. Tonight is our first frost, I haven't put the plant in the ground yet it is in my garage. While I've raised caterpillars before in the classroom I've no idea what to expect for these 3 eggs. Do they hatch now? Do they survive the winter and hatch in the spring? Or do they just die? Does anyone have a clue? Confused
