And thank you Ann for the ID. We have lots of these little guys in the garden. I always refer to them as "garden lizards". Now I know!

I love these little guys. We always watch each other while I'm out in the garden. (And sometimes they come visit me in the house.) It's quite comical.

Thanks Leon! It's one of the reasons I started gardening. I love all the little creatures I encounter. In the last month I've spotted a common five-lined skink in my garden. I've seen them before, but not sure I've had one hang out at the house until now. So hope he stays! I need to try and get a pic, but it will be tricky. They're "shy".
