Basically, I've been obsessed with houseplants since I was a small child and I am continuing my unaffiliated education in botany and horticulture focusing on the comparative biology of members of the Commelinaceae family. I'm also researching the feasibility of cross-pollination between members of the same genus. If anyone would like to aid me in this pursuit I'd like to collect as many members of the Commelinaceae that I can and log the detailed differences myself. I would like to acquire cuttings by trading, donation, and inexpensively priced cuttings/plants. I graduated from Berea College and still don't have the financial resources to buy every sample that I would like, it is a very large family, but I will try to budget what I can.

So far these are the species I have:

I am also looking for the garden varieties. Especially if they produce seeds. I will also except seeds.
