Yay!! Hurray!

Congratulations!!!
That is fantastic. Great job!! Thumbs up

It may seem silly for me to advise you on how to grow Dracula's tommy since you have bloomed one but, make sure you keep your humidity levels up once they spike. The spikes have a tendency to abort if the humidity goes too low.
Along with that notion, keep your watering schedule tight and you might produce more blooms that open. However it is still a great job on your part.

I wanted to grow these and Masdevallias in a big way. I did a lot of research and tried to select ones that were the most heat tolerant but none of them made it.

Gina try Masdevallia tonduzii I think it is and it's hybrids. That one might make it.
Try a little early morning sun but only from November through March. Otherwise bright and near a fan! Straight sphagnum moss and keep them damp, never let them dry out!

Thanks for the tips Bill. Humidity where is originally was is 50-60% (temps between 50 & 60F.) and I was still getting blasting. I moved it to a slightly warmer location and left my second pot of them in the cooler room.

Don't feel bad. I had a 'Cordobae' that produced one bloom last year and then the plant died on me.

The humidity needs to be more like 70-80%.

I love to see Dracula's during orchid shows, I know I don't have the proper environement for it to thrive here, so I never attempted to grow it. Happy to see at least one made it! A real treasure for you!
