YUK, always hated that kitchen light. We even ran it through the dish washer and it still was dirty and ugly besides. We made so many trips to Habitat store but never saw a light we wanted. My daughter in law moved into a new house and is remodeling and took out the kitchen light she did not like so we took it, free and looks better. Took a picture of the new one hung up now and the old dome one going bye bye.

It looks great, Linda, and the price is right! I'm intrigued by what looks like a glass block backsplash. Is that an outside wall? I love it!

No, it is back splash, a silver plastic that resembles tin we bought from Menard`s...Home Depot and Lowes likely have it too, we bought it because it was a easy install and less expensive and time consuming than tiles.

When I first read this I thought it was the black one you got rid of.

Back when dad was still alive, I came home with one of the really old fluorescent round one, with two circular bulbs. and dad said :
What the hell are you going to do with that?
I said put it up, the ballast is good.
He said I was damn glad when the old one burnt out and now you bring that damn thing home.
He had replaced it with a cheap, and I mean cheap, one bulb thing.
That was near forty years ago and it is still going strong.
