Hi Mary,

I'm not as south as you and I think I lost my window of opportunity. I planted my garden in late October with cold season root veggies, mostly. Carrots, onion, garlic, radish, turnips, parsnips, beets, some mustard and spinach. Unfortunately, we got a super cold snap within two weeks, so not much has been happening. My radish, mustard, turnip, and spinach has surfaced, but they are progressing much. I'm not really sure what to do right now other than wait until spring to see if some of the seed will evenutally come up. I've got a sad feeling that my seed was wasted this time around, but I'm hopeful! Last winter I planted mid September, so the plants had a chance.

Do you have any experience in this type of situation? I'm not sure whether to water minimally or let it be. Any advise?
