Doves can get pretty friendly. Actually, a lot of birds can. They learn people - certain people who are "regulars" or who fill feeders & so forth. I've had cardinals and scrub jays who would squawk & pitch a fit while looking in my windows to let me know the food dish was empty.
A mommy rabbit who became so used to us that you could walk right up to her & she would not move away. In fact, there were times she would hop over to us and, I swear, send us mental messages. She raised countless litters in our yard and would "tell" us when she was going off for a time & we should babysit while she was gone. She was with us for at least 9 years. That was an amazing experience.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
