I was born in Phoeniz, Arizona, but had not returned to visit for more than 30 years until November 2015. A favorite childhood memory was picnicking in Encanto Park, a lovely oasis in the desert at 2605 North 15th Avenue in the city. To my delight is it still there and just as lovely as I remember it.
