Here we are at the first day of winter....
Our winter image is of a maple tree coated in ice back in Dec. 2008 after an ice storm.

By this time last year we were already near hip deep in snow in my area of Vermont, this year we have only a dusting on the ground. Our daytime temperatures have been in the 40's and 50's...I'm still running around outside in a sweatshirt!
