Background history:

'Bass Gibson' is a dormant tetraploid introduced in 2006 by John Rice. John (and Annette Rice) does his hybridizing at Thouroughbreed Daylilies located in Paris, Kentucky. More can be read about him on their website:

Bass Gibson is an early to mid-season bloomer. It has earned the following AHS awards: Honorable Mention: 2009 and Award of Merit: 2012. It is both pod and pollen fertile with 22 registered children:
