I'm here! I'm here!!!
Good evening ladies, I forgot that I had posted here a few days ago.. sorry for the late reply!!
Thanks so much for your kind comments, too.
It was so easy... I bought EP 400 Epoxy Putty at Home Depot. My Hubby says that Ace Hardware has it too. It comes in a plastic wrapped "gray tootsie-roll" in a clear tube with a red insert. All you have to do is break off enough of the roll, knead it untill its a uniform color and use it within 5 minutes. It is starts to get warm, it's hardening so you'll have to work fast at that point. I used dime and quarter sized blobs. 'Rocky' is about a foot long.
WASH and throughly DRY all rocks you might use.
BE SURE to wash your hands with soapy water after every epoxy application!!! ... or that stuff will "become one' with your fingers! Gloves don't help... bare fingers are best.
I chose four long rocks for his wings, and then put an oval shaped blob of putty onto oval shaped rock for his body (The one with the turquoise glass gems)... and pressed the 'wing' rocks on too, on the sides. I worked upside down so that the wing tips would be pointing up a bit when I turned him over. After I got that section done, all I did was adhere other longer rocks for his body and a flat triangular shaped rock for his head. Then I used pea-sized epoxy blobs to adhere the glass gems.
