I've had this plant for a few years now, grown in a pot in semi-shade.

The flowers are large and always open well, which is a consideration here with our cooler nights. The foliage is dormant, nice looking, and has thus far been rust resistant, despite the pot being in close proximity to rusty plants. Both of these traits (flower opening and healthy foliage) are big wins, imo.

Among the reds that I grow, this red seems to have a bit more sun resistance than most; at least, the flowers do not horribly slick and melt. (Then again, it does get some shade... but so do the other reds... Confused )

It is hard to judge increase, and I'm sure my rate of increase is negatively impacted by pot growth, semi-shade, and benign neglect. Despite these conditions, the plant has increased enough so that last fall I was able to divide the clump into three good sized pieces (mostly because one of my garden helpers was begging for a piece, and then there was the other helper...). I was almost going to split the clump between the two of them, but decided at the last moment that I wanted to keep some around for myself, even though the flowers aren't exactly my ideal in daylilies; I guess that says something positive.
Evaluating an iris seedling, hopefully for rebloom
