I just found the Forum last night. I live in SF Bay Area and leave mine out year round. I have only covered them once for frost/freeze.

On the root bound question, I have some growing in 5 gal. black nursery pots with a mixture of equal parts soil and compost with perlite mixed in. They are doing great. I have my original three pots of (multiple) cuttings that a friend gave me that are in 1 gal. pots. They are still alive and growing, but not nearly as well. They have been in the pots for almost 10 years. I'm sure that there is virtually no soil left in the pots. They are not anywhere as vigorous as the ones in the larger pots. They bloom, but not anywhere near as much.

My only "problem" is that all the ones I have are noids. Oh, and scale is becoming a problem.
