Lovely, Melissa. What's the name of the pretty dotted one with the purple lip? I'll add that one to my kids' list, as my birthday is coming up.

I just came in from my official certification as Orchid Lifeguard - several orchids went for a swim in my pool as a result of a strong gust of wind. (where's that slapping upside the head emoticon when you need it?) Now the pool is just full of pieces of orchid bark, perlite, charcoal, lava rock and other orchid medium, floating around and on the bottom. Thankfully my pool service will be here tomorrow morning so they will get all the stuff I missed. Can't leave my pool vac on as the large pieces of bark clog up the intake. Rolling my eyes. Now I have at least half a dozen orchids to re-pot, too.

Just when I thought I'd have a "day off" - which I know darn well is gremlin code for "minor disaster time". We wouldn't want to get bored anyway .. .. .
