Guaranitica can take quite a bit of shade.
Longwood Gardens in Pa has mass planted this cultivar for many years now. It tends to be a small guaranitica. Kermit commented at another site that he had tested it but didn't find in any way exceptional. Hopefully I am quoting him correctly.
