Most of them do take some care when handling, the leaves have sharp edges. Depending on the variety they can be very sharp.
There are just so many beautiful Bromiliads and the flowers when they bloom are amazing.
This is the bloom from my Silver Vase Bromiliad. It bloomed for me this past summer. I don't have a very good pic of the whole plant to show you.
