Griff can't get at the bulbs now, since they are no longer within the fenced in backyard. In terms of the heavy planting; this is still an experiment in progress. A valid concern
is the high humidity and daily thunderstorms of a Florida summer. The interior leaves could possibly stay too damp. I like the idea of the large volume of loose fertile soil which has good drainage in the pots. I'm hoping that the large pots will help to keep the soil moisture at a fairly stable level. This could be an solution in the summer for keeping bulbs moist when you will be away.
