Coleus are fairly tender, but if the pot happened to be in a protected place, or buried by leaves or something, the seeds may survive.


It wasn't protected at all only when snow fell. I planted in late fall when it's too cold to sprout, so the seed went dormant only sprouting when it's warm now.
