It sounds very much like your will become addicted to this amazing plant. There are so many different ones, from very tiny to quite large. And it all different colors and combinations of colors. Every day is a delight to see what is happening in the collection as they change almost daily.
They should do well in your winter weather as long as they are planted in fast draining soil/mix and top dressed with crushed gravel or chicken grit. They don't do well if exposed to cold drying winds in winter, but love having a nice cover of snow.
