Margo I too have used that amazing tool - well not the one you used but one similar Rolling on the floor laughing I've had semps grow from leaves on 2 occasions, just on their own, the leaf fell off and I left it. It is partly why I like growing using chicken grit for the top dressing - the leaves and small offsets have an easier chance to root. Packardian is the one I had grow from a leaf. I'm going to try several this year I think, propagating is much more my speed than seeds! I tip my hat to you.
