I use the alfalfa pellets along with the malgranite but instead of just throwing the pellets out I put them in a bucket and fill it full of water. Then mix it with my potting soil or either mix it around established plants. I haven't had any problems with rabbits doing it that way. One thing I have noticed tho is an abundance of earthworms!!!!
