I don't remember what your notes were for the spring. But, here's a shot based on the attached image.
1. Start typing the name of your plant. The system will try to match it to a existing entry with the
. . correct botanical name as you type. If you don't select something from the list, the system will accept what you enter.
2.
Number of packets available. is how many pots/baggies/cups of this plant you are offering,
. . not the total number of plants
3. [Quantity per packet:[/b] is where you note how many actual plants are in each pot/baggies/cup. For example, I
. . pot up Lily of the Valley in batches of 6 pips. If I have 30 pips total, then line #2 would be quantity 5.
4.
Source of seed: is how you acquired this particular plant for swap. 'Self collected' means it came from
. . your yard after a season of growth, 'Commercially purchased' would be something that you purposely bought
. . for the swap and 'From another trader' would be something that you picked up from someone else but never got
. . in planted. It's a left-over, but you're passing it on.
5.
Availability: Here is where you can build you're not quite, but almost ready list:
. . - Show it and make it available for trade.
. . - Show it, but it's not yet ready for trade.
. . - Don't show this publicly yet.
. . The first option gives people in the swap the change to 'bid' for the item.
. . The second is a teaser. You're pretty sure you'll have it, but it isn't ready.
. . The final option is for your purposes. You may have it. Then again you may not. But, you don't want
. . to get peoples' hopes up.
6.
Comments: is where you add any thing in particular that you want people to know. This can be things like 'really invasive',
. . 'attracts lots of pollinators', or even 'my favorite'. It's totally up to you.
7.
Image: If you have a favorite picture of the item, you can upload it here. This can be what the actual item looks like for the
. . swap, what it looks like in the garden, etc.
When you're all set, click on the 'Add this item to your list'
You can add as many or as few items as you like to your list.
