LOVE the astilbes! I bought some this spring from a co-op on cubits. They arrived beautifully, and I babied them in the house until it was time to plant them outside. Put them in our raised bed in the shade garden, and then watched them slowly fail. I decided that despite my daily waterings, that bed was not getting enough water. Installed a drip system and viola! astilbes are putting out all kinds of new growth! Don't know if it might be too late in the season for them to bloom, but at least they are getting a foothold and growing!
