This seems to be the result of an add-on. Some content blockers can cause this type of issue. Please restart with Add-ons Disabled...
1. Close Firefox.
2. Start Firefox by double-clicking the icon AND
holding the shift key on your keyboard at the same time. <======= VERY IMPORTANT
3. There will be a small popup window as seen in the screenshot. Click "Start in Safe Mode". DO NOT reset Firefox for the time being.
4. Play around with the NGA and see whether if the issue persists.
5. Restart normally.
