Well, I just planted this back in Sept. 2016 , I did not expect much from it that year. But even that late in the season the plant grew very well, put out a lot of foliage, then it put out a couple of scapes and even managed a few blooms before the colder weather moved in. The plant actually kept trying to produce scapes and blooms, but the cold nights and mornings would delay or prevent the blooms from opening. I am just hoping the plant is not going to have a problem with rust as some was observed. I trimmed the plants back hard and sprayed for aphids, so I am really looking forward to spring , new growth and warm weather for the blooms to open properly.
