Hi Rpr,
I did a little cutting back last fall but didn't even get half of it done. I can't remember what came up that I didn't get them all cut back. I have a lot of flower beds. I went out early this week and cut back some of the dead foliage from a couple New England Aster, Black eyed Susan, some dwarf Iris and a few other things in 3 beds. Wednesday I cut back a Russian Sage and a few other things in the bed in front of the house. I think I am going to pull up the roots of the Russian Sage. I already pulled the original plant out a couple years ago but didn't get all the roots, and it grew back.
