I saw this in a garage sale for $1.50, I bought it. Did any one else have shorthand and dictation? I had this class in high school. Used it through college. I thought it would be a hoot to 'relearn' this.

My husband asked me if I bought the book for nostalgic reasons. I said, "No. I want to start aggravating really young, snotty, tech savvy and patronizing (because you're not) people the way they aggravate me.

Now when I get a text from some person (kid ) who can't communicate without a keyboard and sends me texts with a kazillion abbreviations I don't understand, I'll just scrawl an answer in 'shorthand', photograph it and send it back to them as a reply! If they complain, I'll say, "What? You mean you can't read cursive???"

Also just thought it would be a hoot to relearn this long forgotten art and brush up a skill I used to have.
