I have quite a few imperials, all the same old NoID from my grandparents.
They have not been lifted or divided for at least 30 years and they grow well in a dry spot next to our hazelnut trees:

I have several smaller clumps, which are divisions from another old clump under the Gingko Biloba (also a dry, but sunny spot).
