It does get fairly hot here in July - October, sometimes really warm until after Christmas, but not desert hot because this Sunset Zone 24 is the coastal region. The ocean makes a difference and right now the difference is mist and humidity and very late afternoon sun. Sometimes I don't understand how any plant lives here but they do - all the time.
