'La Belle Epoque' has quite an interesting blend of warm colors:
'Brown Sugar' is becoming one of my favorites. It has a wonderful sweet scent and warm colors that really glows in the evening.
Muscari neglectum 'Baby's Breath'. Wonderful.
A mix of Muscari aucheri: Blue Magic, Ocean Magic and White Magic
'Poppie' again... this time to show that the dark base of the flower is very decorative from the outside. Also I'm becoming a bit obsessed mixing old flowers with new in pics, so I need to show how aging 'Purissima' blooms bows for and passes the duty of flowering over to 'Poppie'. Yes, I have vivid imagination some times.
'Hakuun'. A Japanese tulip named after the legendary Zen Buddhist Haku’un.
'Shirley'
'Affair'. In similar fashion to 'Shirley' the edge color will smear into the white as the bloom matures. Sort of reminds me of lipstick on a white shirt collar. Could it be from this likeness this tulip has gotten its name?
A young bloom of 'Grand Perfection':
'Janis Joplin' turned out to be a truly great tulip for pots.
Sure we had very cold weather and they are in a cold shady spot as well, but they are just now starting to loose their appeal. Decorative value counting from when buds started to color up was five and a half week!!!!! This was a touch better than 'Purissima Blonde' that also was fantastic. Also 'Janis Joplin' have one of those "blue" hearts:
'Gavota' and 'Light and Dreamy'
Need to apply some paint here, so was in doubt if I should post the last pic or not. Feeling brave though.
