I've tried a few new varieties of echinaceas over the years. Hot Papaya is blooming now, but it is a lot paler than I expected. The old fashioned purple coneflowers have bloomed beautifully in my sunny bed for 20 years. I have been able to share them with countless friends and relatives. I have some young plants that I plan to spread to a new hillside bed created this spring when I had some steps refurbished. I expect that they will continue to flourish happily for many years.
