I love it when people re-use things in such a beautiful way! One word of caution though--you have to be careful because some wood is treated with arsenic to prevent bugs from eating it. I've read that the arsenic can leach into the ground when watered, and then be absorbed by plants or even through your skin if you handle it without gloves.
