@csandt,

Hi Carol,

Sorry, I am not sure how to do links on kindle--if you google/search

www.boitzer-taglilien.de

and go onto the page called something like "own intros" there is a page full of all his own varieties.

He has the spiders/UFs at the top and round forms further down.

Looking at the price list he sent me this year his own intros vary from €10- to around €40- not sure what that would equate to in USD without looking at currency converters.

Prices generally appear to be much cheaper in the US than in Europe though (for everything, not just daylilies) so that is something to bear in mind.

Plus it is very expensive for European hybridisers to buy the original daylilies from the US to breed from to begin with because of all the certificates and import taxes.

Import taxes on American goods are high here, if I buy anything from the US I have to add aprox 35-40% onto the price to cover taxes and transport costs.

Here in Britain, a daylily that may have been in the US for 15-20 years will be advertised as 'new' to a sellers catalogue and can still be around £40- Just because they are so expensive to import and then trial for several years.😞

Hope that helps. Smiling
