This is the same plant, photo taken 9 months earlier (mid-fall instead of mid-summer).



The difference is due to the season and is typical for Aeoniums. The rosettes are smaller and more closed up in summer. The leaves are shorter, with lots of dead ones falling off. And the color has shifted toward red and brown.

In another 3 months this Aeonium will look like the fall picture again, only bigger overall and branchier.
