I've been collecting pods for awhile now and I often find seeds that have started sprouting in the pod. But today I found these seeds. I've never seen any look like these before.

I'm assuming they aren't viable since the insides look like mashed potatoes.

This cross is a seedling (pod parent) backcrossed with its pollen parent. Could that be the cause? The plants are diploid.
